Set up your Stormy Life Jacket
When you first receive your Stormy Life Jacket you will need to set it up with the pressurised CO² cylinder and make the decision whether you would prefer to have your life jacket set up for manual, or water activation. It’s easy to switch between manual and water activation at any time, but you need to know how!
Follow the instructions below to switch your lifejacket or vest between water and manual activation:
- Pull down the Velcro pocket to expose the valve and oral inflation tube.
- If keeping the Stormy water activated, ensure the water activated canister is screwed in tight.
- If changing to manual activation, unscrew the water activated canister and replace with the blanking cap provided. Store the water activated canister in a safe dry place (you may want to change back at a later date).
- Screw the CO² cylinder will be tight into the valve. When inserted correctly the cylinder will sit perfectly vertical in the valve. If it is miss-threaded it will be on a noticeable angle – if this is the case unscrew the canister and try again.
