The Stormy Jacket – Fire Retardant/Anti Static, features 180 Newtons of buoyancy, is water activated to inflate automatically in an overboard emergency, offers resistance to charge accumulation, has Day/Night high visibility markings and sealed seams. It can also include the deck harness in place of the waist belt and lifting loop if desired. This product is 100 per cent Australian made in the Stormy Lifejackets factory.
The Stormy Jacket – Fire Retardant/Anti Static was originally developed as a custom product for Caltex, who required a fire retardant jacket that was also an inflatable Personal Flotation Device, for use on their gas rigs off the coast of Tasmania. This jacket is regularly purchased with Stormy Wet Weather Pants – Fire Retardant/Anti Static. This product can be customised with name and logo badges made to order, and can also include an internal ISO acceddited deck harness with a D-ring that is exposed on the front exterior of the jacket.
About EmphaSTAT material
EmphaSTAT is fire retardant and offers resistance to charge accumulation to considerably limit possibility of incendiary discharge. The fabric does not add to explosion risk or discharge events which may otherwise be present. EmphaSTAT is a water repellent, high visibility, fluorescent red-orange dyed, anti-static polyester fabric with a breathable, fire retardant, waterproof hydraulic coating.
