Warranty Information

Stormy Lifejackets™ products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery into store. This is subject to the intended conditions and use, in accordance to the Operator’s Manual and Maintenance & Servicing Manual.

All Stormy Lifejackets™ products, which, in the sole judgment of STORMY LIFEJACKETS PTY LTD, have received excessive or abusive use or have been altered in any way by the Customer or any other person, will NOT be covered by this limited warranty. STORMY LIFEJACKETS PTY LTD may require return of the product (postage or delivery cost prepaid by Customer) to STORMY LIFEJACKETS PTY LTD or any of our authorised service agents for inspection before determining whether the product will be covered under limited warranty.

Once returned, it will be inspected as required. If the product(s) deemed to be covered under our warranty policy, it will either be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of STORMY LIFEJACKETS PTY LTD at no charge to the Customer. The only obligation or liability of STORMY LIFEJACKETS PTY LTD under this limited warranty is to repair or replace the product and STORMY LIFEJACKETS PTY LTD shall not, under any circumstances be liable for loss of use or any consequential damages sustained by the Customer.

All other warranties, expressed or implied, and remedies with respect to the condition or use of the product, which might otherwise be provided by law in any jurisdiction, are specifically excluded.

Warranty is invalid if:

  • Stormy Lifejackets does not receive your completed registration form
  • You do not maintain the lifejacket according to the manufacturer’s instructions
  • You do not purchase and use the manufacturer’s spare parts
  • You do not have your lifejacket serviced every year by an accredited Stormy Lifejackets servicing agent

 

Care and Maintenance

Stormy Lifejacket recommend the following procedures are followed in order to maintain your lifejacket

After use in salt water rinse well in fresh water (IF AUTOMATIC REMOVE CARTRIDGE FIRST) Hang to dry in well-ventilated area.

  • DO NOT dry clean or iron. Avoid contact with heat or chemicals.
  • Check your cartridges expiry date regularly, it is marked on your water activated cartridge.
  • Check the CO² GAS CYLINDER. Remove it and check the sealed end has not been pierced, check for rust or corrosion. Reinstall and screw firmly into the inflator.
  • Once the CO² cylinder is discharged it MUST be replaced.
  • Hang your Stormy in a dry environment, MUST not be stored damp.
  • Stormy recommends that you have your PFD (life jacket) serviced every 12 months for recreational or professional use.
  • All items sold come with a full manufacturer`s warranty for faults and defects.
  • All returns are to be paid for by the buyer (postage both ways: sending and receiving) and are not refundable.
  • Faulty items will be replaced within seven (7) working days (subject to availability or a similar item of the same value).
  • We will not replace any item unless faulty or damaged items have been received and must be sent via a traceable method. The postage cost is at purchaser`s expense in both ways (sending and receiving) and is not refundable.
